How has network virtualization changed your organization and your career?

I have made it a goal to change the way our customers see protection and security. I see that potential in VMware NSX and have great faith that our clients will benefit from its services. The key is knowledge and implementation. My company sees the potential and we’re eager to share it with future and existing clients.

How do you see NSX affecting the networking and security industry?

I see NSX as a game changer when it comes to the networking and security industry. Due to the popularity of cloud and multitenant networks, the traditional way of doing network and security can’t live up to the demand. This is where NSX comes in and changes the way companies think about network and security.

How much of your career has been reacting to change vs. driving it?

The IT industry is forever changing, and it’s a challenge to foresee what new advances are coming next. So, there is a foreseeable sense of being up to date with these changes, although my path has taken many different directions. I would have to say that 70 percent of my actions towards my own advancement is proactive and 30 percent is reactive since I am constantly in the need to know the up-and-coming trends in my industry.

What does NSX Mindset mean to you?

The NSX Mindset is something that can be used as a creed or mantra. Even though we are met with changes and difficulties, we have the option of transcending through them and making a difference. The product has always maintained an aura of thinking outside the box, and due to the ever-changing world, it is constantly changing to adapt to what is to come.

What does a united IT strategy mean to you?

As with everything else, to stay ahead of the game, you must create a specialized strategy to avoid the hassle of setbacks due to poor planning.
